Barco will expand its REMOTE NOC system
Barco to announce on ShoWest 2010, that opens today and to the day 18 in Las Vegas, the expansion of your Network Operations Center solution (Noc) Improving remote diagnosis and monitoring of facilities. The NOC will offer, as announced by Barco in ShoWest 2010, Increased monitoring capabilities for networked projectors, Servers, Management Systems, Automation controllers, switches and UPS units (Uninterruptible Power Supply). In its second year in operation, NOC offers room owners, Service providers and system integrators a common platform for monitoring, Maintenance and repair of your projector fleet. Responding to your customers' requirements, NOC's new services include expansion of remote analytics network, your remote upgrade and new configuration capabilities, programming 24/7/365 and content verification, in addition to improving real-time network status information. Jim Wickenhiser, NOC Program Director at Barco Digital Cinema, has recognized that “At a time when personnel resources need to be measured to the millimetre, NOC offers the possibility to monitor the entire network and, even more, Be proactive in the face of any failure. New Series II at ShoWest 2010
On the occasion of ShoWest 2010 Barco will unveil its new Series II line, based on Texas Instruments' latest DLP Cinema technology. With this innovative DP2K product line, Barco builds on the proven benefits of its successful DP series, while at the same time, anticipates the future 4K and the spectacular rise of 3D cinema. This new range is designed for small and medium-sized cinemas with screens of up to 12, 15 and 20 meters wide, respectively.
Barco will also present at ShoWest 2010 a new optional software module that allows users of Series I and II projectors to identify, Diagnose and troubleshoot error conditions without technical support assistance. Diagnostic Companion will be integrated into the Barco Communicator software from the version 4.0. Communicator runs like a standard PC application, at the same time that Companion works the Barco DP-1200, DP-1500 and DP-2000 and will be shown on the new II series projectors at ShoWest. Current Series I users will be able to migrate to the version 4.0 of Communicator.
