United Technologies Buys General Electric's Security Subsidiary

United Technologies Closes Purchase of General Electric Security Subsidiary, GE Security, by 1.820 millions of dollars.

The American technology company United Technologies (UTC) has reached an agreement for the purchase of the subsidiary of security devices for homes and companies of General Electric, GE Security, by 1.820 millions of dollars (1.213 millions of euros). The acquisition of GE Security, which has eight production sites and around 4.700 employees distributed in 26 Countries, will allow UTC to strengthen its position in the electronic security and video surveillance industry.
