New range of plasma series 12 with Panasonic NEO PDP technology
Panasonic presents the models of 58, 65 and 85 inches that support a wide range of applications oriented to the large format and that thanks to the NEO PDP technology offer double efficiency and improve the quality of the image.
Panasonic Professional Projectors and Displays Europe (PPDE) has announced the launch of the first three models of the new plasma series range 12. Destined, chiefly, to dynamic advertising, to rent and fairs, new large format devices incorporate NEO PDP technology, to deliver dual efficiency and improve image quality, with a thinner and brighter device. The first screens of the Series 12 are available in 58, 65 and 85 Inch, and can be installed both horizontally and vertically. NEO PDP technology offers dynamic resolution of 1.080 lines, that eliminates blurry images and drag feeling, and a contrast of 40.000:1 to provide purer blacks and more realistic and detailed images. The final specifications, in terms of brightness and contrast, allow to capture highly the attention of the public, as well as advertisers who are disillusioned with the inability of dynamic advertising to faithfully reproduce the representative illustrations of the brand or concept to be announced According to Enrique Robledo, European Plasma Marketing Manager, "the introduction of the Series 12, with NeoPDP technology, is a big step forward in Panasonic's strategy to lead the large format device market.". The professional market needs larger and larger devices for a wide range of applications, including public presentation devices and events. The Series 12 responds to the needs of the large format device industry, environmentally friendly, but flexible, reliable, and delivering the high image quality that AV professionals expect", commented Robledo. About the possibilities of this new range, Chris McIntyre-Brown, responsible for Professionl IT & Imeging de Futuresource, pointed out that “the market for large format devices, greater than 65 Inch, is destined to grow very strongly over the following quarters, parallel to key economies emerging from recession, and that the production of supply products is less affected by falling prices. In addition, end users are looking for larger and larger devices to communicate, announce, entertain and inform. Dynamic advertising, and all its variants, will be key drivers for the growth of this category, but the presentation space is also expected to be rapidly adopted, at the same time that VA budgets are recovered”. Robustness and lightness It is noteworthy that the new range of the Series 12 is very fine, which reduces the weight of all its models being easier to transport and install. The devices were developed for a use of 24 hours offering a robust front panel and a service life of 100.000 hours (time considered until half the brightness decrease), making them cost-effective in the long term. The Series 12 it also offers a high level of 'customization' through a simple adjustment system, that allows users to select the removable cards to offer the most appropriate combination in each application. The first models of the Series 12 will be on the market in November and December.
