Sony and Cine Colombia launch the first complex 100% Digital in Latin America

Cine Colombia is the first film chain in Latin America to have a multiplex of eight digital screens using Sony projectors with 8.8 Millions of pixels, With the highest quality of digital film projection available in the market.

The professional division of Sony Latin America and Cine Colombia have announced the first multiplex, In this case of eight screens, completely digitized with Sony 4K SXRD projectors (For its acronym in English Silicon Cristal Reflective Display) with DCI certification (For its acronym in English Digital Cinema Initiative) In Latin territorial America.

Considered 4K technology leader, Sony Digital Cinema's 4K projection system has the highest digital film projection quality in the market offering 8.8 Millions of pixels. Most digital cinemas only have a 2K level, equivalent to approximately 2.2 Millions of pixels. The image quality of a 4K projection is totally fluid and constant, compared to 2K projections, where when approaching the screen the pixels that compose it are noticed.

In addition to the Sony 4K SXRD projectors, the best 3D images are obtained thanks to the dual lens system that allows you to show two images to the two eyes simultaneously, unlike 2K projectors that only allow to show one image in each eye at the same time.
