Panasonic has added to its catalog of projectors the models PT-CW230 and PT-CX200 of 1 Ultra-short projection DLP chip with 3D function, that have WXGA resolution (1280×800) with 2.500 lumens and XGA (1024×768) with 2.000 lumens of luminosity, respectively.

Panasonic Europe has announced the launch of its first projectors 1 Ultra-short projection DLP chip with 3D function, designed for schools and meeting rooms. PT-CW230 and PT-CX200 have WXGA resolution (1280×800) with 2.500 lumens and XGA (1024×768) with 2.000 lumens of luminosity, respectively. Short-distance projection feature allows projectors to be used in conjunction with interactive whiteboards in primary schools, helping teachers conduct immersive teaching, as well as using them for screenings in small meeting rooms to facilitate group discussions.

The innovative ultra-short focus and mirror projection optical unit allows the PT-CW230 and PT-CX200 to project an image with an 80" diagonal (2,03 M) from a surprisingly short distance from between alone 32 and 38,3 cm (12,6/15,1 Inch)*1 to the screen. This allows teachers and speakers to be close to the screen without their shadow appearing over the image.. The maximum projection size of the PT-CW230 is a 110" diagonal image (2,8 M), and the PT-CX200, 90" (2,28M). In addition, the 3D function, an active shutter system using Texas Instruments DLP® LinkTM technology, expands the learning experience in primary schools; helps initiate effective R&D meetings in business environments and offers a unique visual solution for digital signage and entertainment applications.

Hartmut Kulessa, director de Marketing de Proyectores en Panasonic System Communications Company Europe, commented that "with the new CW/CX series of projectors for ultra short projection we have expanded our catalog with a new category that we did not cover in the past. The use of interactive whiteboards in schools is increasing in Europe, and in addition, ultra-short projection technology also offers great advantages in business presentations. Being able to make a presentation on a large format screen without shadows appearing in the image allows the speaker to point and interact right in front of their presentation., and also the 3D function adds another level of reality to any projection".

The compact body and the installation capacity in four different positions – desktop operation with projection both to the wall and to the table, projection on the ground, wall installation and under-table installation for rear-projection on the table – increase projection flexibility. These functions open possibilities of using the projector in different situations that until now were not possible.

The CW230 series also comes equipped with a 10W amplifier and a mono speaker, providing not only a large screen projection from a short distance but also an all-in-one audio solution. It has an HDMI terminal as a digital input and the maintenance of the projector is small, with a filter replacement cycle of up to 4.000 hours.
