These containers, developed by the company Renew, They are promoted as a means to increase safety in high-traffic areas and to improve recycling for the inhabitants of the British capital.

The new models will replace the old cast iron containers of the 'City'’ London, who proved to be highly vulnerable to terrorist attacks, and have been tested in the New Mexico desert to withstand bomb blasts.
