Rave Cinemas launches digital signage network with Real Digital Media's Neocast
The American cinema chain Rave has launched a new digital signage network with Real Digital Media's Neocast Media Server software to manage various applications such as digital menu boards, schedules, Ticket availability, Real-time promotions and prices in the 66 Chain movie theaters.
Real Digital Media, Neocast digital signage platform provider, and Rave Cinemas, the fifth largest cinema chain in the United States, São Paulo Cinema has announced a strategic digital signage initiative to create a digital experience for the audience across the Rave cinema chain. Rave has extended its digital signage network across the Rave circuit of 66 Movie theaters, with the latest deployment taking place at Las Vegas Town Square 18. This facility includes sixty-five (65) monitors that service a variety of use cases.
The Rave Cinemas network replaces traditional signage at the box office and in advertisements with digital monitors. The digital signage network will also be used to find theaters, Auditoriums and promotions of future films. All theaters will be scheduled and monitored from Rave's Dallas headquarters using Neocast Media Server management software. This network application monitors network status and effective performance and communicates programming content and instructions to the operators in charge of the monitors. Rave has chosen Neocast Media Placer Z to power high-definition content across the network. The content includes Silverlight applications that are designed to provide the public with information about schedules, Ticket availability, Real-time promotions and prices, other than providing search information.
Bryan Rakowski, Head of SVP Technology at Rave Cinemas, commenting on Rave's initiative in digital signage and its decision to partner with Real Digital Media, has stated: "Rave has built its business and reputation by focusing on the movie-going experience and pioneering the use of new technologies and alternative programming. It makes a lot of sense for us to extend our digital footprint from the box office to the lobby and theatre using digital signage. Real Digital Media has set itself apart from the crowd with a platform that seamlessly adapts to all of our content needs and use cases, while being easily adjusted to meet the demands of communities that want to enjoy cinema in almost 1000 screens in 20 states".
Ken Goldberg, President of Real Digital Media, added: "The breadth of digital signage applications that Rave uses in a single theater with our Neocast platform is a testament to his ingenuity and the sophistication of his content strategy. Through a combination of video integration, Real-time media and data, Rave Cinemas audiences are enjoying a very interesting visual experience that is timely in delivering relevant information. Rave has truly maximized the flexibility inherent in our software platform and we look forward to continuing to help them advance digital signage applications across the theater circuit.".
