Adif installs a new information system at Vitoria-Gasteiz station
The Renfe station in Vitoria has launched a new communication system that provides information on timetables, special warnings and incidents through four indicators – one per platform- double-sided and five state-of-the-art monitors, in addition to two cameras for traffic control.
As part of the remodelling and modernisation process of the Vitoria-Gasteiz station, Adif has completed the installation of a new railway traffic information system enabled by the company Icon Multimedia. The system, powered by the Deneva solution, Provide timely information on timetables, Special Notices, Incidents, etc., through teleindicators, Monitors and public address systems. To do this,, It has four double-sided track teleindicators, Five state-of-the-art monitors (two 47" and three 42") to provide information to the public and two cameras for traffic control.
The system is connected to the Centralised Traffic Centre (CTC) of Miranda de Ebro, which incorporates additional information on the planning and monitoring of trains automatically. In addition, in case of disconnection, the system has two stations that allow it to be controlled from the Vitoria-Gasteiz station itself.
Energy efficiency and savings
Likewise, The new information system allows the lighting of the platforms to be graduated according to the arrival of the trains, with the consequent energy and cost savings.
