Senior Vice President EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia) for Cisco South Region, Jordi Botifoll, has been named new leader for the Latin American region of the North American company.

culm announced the appointment of Jordi Botifoll as the new leader for the Latin American region. Botifoll replaces Jaime Vallés, who has recently been appointed head of Cisco for the Asia Pacific region, Japan and China. Botifoll has previously been Senior Vice President EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia) for the South region, which includes Cyprus, Spain, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta and Portugal and has a track record of success driving Cisco's growth in Southern Europe.

Botifoll joined Cisco in 1999 as CEO of Cisco Spain, and under his leadership the Spanish subsidiary grew more than one 100 per cent during the first year. In the year 2000 was promoted to general manager for Iberia. Later he became Vice President for Mediterranean Geography, and under this tenure the region became one of Cisco's fastest growing areas in Europe until 2008. in 2011 was appointed Senior Vice President EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia) for the South region.

Before you join Cisco, Botifoll was General Manager of Corporate Market at Retevisión, the second largest service provider in Spain, and held various positions of responsibility at Lotus Development Software and IBM. His professional experience began at NCR where he performed various sales management tasks.
