NEC launches the super-thin public display MultiSync X401S

NEC Display Solutions Europe has added to its catalog of displays XS series MultiSync X401S, a public LCD display of 40 ultra-thin inches with Edge LED backlight technology suitable for a wide variety of applications such as signage in retail businesses 24/7, Transport Applications, Conference rooms, Lobby / facilities in receptions and integration in information totems or furniture.

NEC Display Solutions Europe has introduced the MultiSync X401S, a public LCD display of 40 inch that combines efficiency – thanks to its LED Edge backlight- with elegance thanks to its ultra-thin and lightweight design. This professional public display with LED Edge technology is an ideal solution for retail signage, as well as mission-critical signaling applications for airports/transportation, Control Room Applications, and even for QSR installations and solutions in totems and furniture. The MultiSync X401S is part of NEC's popular XS series and joins the 46 and 55 inches of this series.

The Edge LED backlight technology of this high-definition 1080p resolution display provides exceptional uniformity, while meeting the rigorous demands of a 24/7. This also makes the screen very thin and light., enabling integration into extremely thin cabinets and installations with space constraints. In addition, Programmable ambient light sensor ensures brightness adjusts automatically when light conditions change, thus reducing energy consumption while offering eye-pleasing brightness levels.

These features help make it more effective and environmentally friendly., while keeping operating costs as low as possible. However, Performance is not sacrificed for these other benefits since the screen still produces a brightness of 700cd/m2 with its very low reflection panel and the image quality is exceptional also thanks to the optional color calibration that allows logos and images to be portrayed with great precision.. In addition, the display is DICOM compliant, which means it can be used in medical applications.

Heat control

MultiSync X401S supports NEC's heat management system, that allows the user to monitor and control the heat inside the display with user-controllable fans. Heat management is critical to integration work and mission-critical facilities to ensure reliability and longevity. This model also includes the Version 2 OPS slot technology (STv2) of NEC, enabling integration of single-board computers and other slot option products without the need for external equipment.

These features are provided along with all other standard features in NEC's XS series of public displays., including OSD rotation for portrait mode, network connectivity with SNMP support for remote control and automatic email notifications for diagnostic purposes, as well as a wide range of inputs including DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI. Daisy chain via DVI can be used to connect up to nine units, offering great flexibility, No additional cost if the signal has to be transmitted for video walls or back-to-back installations.
