Axis unveils new AXIS P12 miniature HDTV camera series

The provider of IP video solutions for professional installations, Axis Communications, has expanded its network camera portfolio with the new AXIS P12 series of miniature hidden cameras, Flexible models that offer excellent video surveillance for commercial establishments, banks, Hotels & Offices.

Axis Communications has added AXIS P12 network cameras to its portfolio, A uniquely designed camera array for exceptionally discreet indoor and outdoor surveillance. The form factor and small footprint of these cameras allow for easy integration into very limited spaces, making it ideal for discreet or covert in-store surveillance, Banks & ATMs, Architectural Buildings, Hotels & Offices.

Erik Frännlid, Director of Product Management, Axis, pointed out that “These new cameras offer a great deal of flexibility, with its unique design concept, comprising a separate main unit and sensor unit, which allows them to be mounted with a separation of up to 8 meters away. The cameras' small size and functional design allow them to be easily integrated into a variety of environments where space is tight or where covert installation is required”.

AXIS P12 series consists of three models: two pinhole camera models - AXIS P1204 and AXIS P1214 -, that are ideal for indoor environments; and AXIS P1214-E, which is an IP66 model suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Each of the products consists of a small sensor unit with a lens and an image sensor, and a main unit with corresponding electronic and mounting accessories.

Great image quality

AXIS P12 series offers high-performance hidden cameras that deliver 720p HDTV video at full frame rate. The cameras provide multiple video streams in H.264 compression that can be individually configured, which greatly optimizes bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality. They also support Motion JPEG for greater flexibility.

In addition, cameras can be powered via Ethernet or via an external power source. They support Edge storage and recordings can be saved to a microSD card / optional microSDHC or a Network Attached Storage (Nas). likewise, cameras offer powerful event management capabilities with AXIS Camera Application Platform and embedded intelligent video features such as motion detection, tamper alarm and I-ports / Or for connecting external devices.

AXIS P12 series supports the largest database of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner Program and AXIS Camera Station. Cameras include support for AXIS Camera Companion,Hosted Video and ONVIF for easy camera system integration.
