AKG Announces Launch of Discreet Acoustics Modular Plus Microphone Line
AKG, Harman Group company, has launched the new range of microphones Discreet Acoustics Modular Plus, that provide improved modularity and quality for conferences and presentations.
The Austrian microphone manufacturer AKG has announced the latest addition to its installed systems: the Discreet Acoustics Modular Plus series. With a wide range of gooseneck and installation modules available, AKG's new range of microphones offers optimal adaptation to all types of room and speaker configurations, with quick microphone capsule change.
Reliability derived from LED Ring models highlights ability to reduce risk of malfunctions, Rugged material to reduce fatigue and improve protection for signal block outputs. LED Rings use a special circuit to operate outside the phantom power standard, as two separate wires carrying the electrical voltage and providing additional protection to the audio signal.
Modular Plus Series Interface Module Connects High-Quality Gooseneck to Phantom Power Supply, Adding flexibility to all mounting modules. Self-cleaning connector is reliable, Discreet and secure – that allows the replacement of the microphone in a simplified and cost-effective way. Goosenecks test themselves under extreme circumstances, bending and writhing into extreme shapes, ensuring its quality and flexibility.

The CK43 supercardioid condenser capsule offers users a pickup angle of 95 Degrees, Ideal for situations where unwanted noise pickup is a concern. The CK49 is a reference condenser capsule with a 80 Degrees, with clean off-axis response. It is ideal for use with inexperienced announcers, focusing on the voice when the announcer is away, and reducing pop if you get close to the microphone.
AKG's GN155M gooseneck is a 155 cm with a strong anti-shock mounting bracket that works perfectly as a standalone unit or in scenarios located in front of a large group of instruments or speakers. HM1000M is a reference suspension module used to hang microphones from the ceiling to record or reinforce music or voice in worship spaces, Theatres or conference halls.
AKG PAE M reference power module offers phantom power for fixed and mobile installation, providing an XLR connector of 3 Gold-plated pin. Its wide voltage range fits most microphone mixers. PAESP M is a programmable power module for fixed and mobile installation, Equipped with a single coded decimal binary switch to remember operating modes. The silent microphone switch of the PAESP M reduces its level of 26 Db, avoiding the irritating crunchy sound when phantom feeding is interrupted. The M PAE5 provides an XLR connection of 5 pins that allow the audio signal and center voltage to be fed separately.
