TRENDnet expands its portfolio of PoE+ switches
The provider of wired and wireless networking hardware and systems, TRENDnet, has expanded its PoE+ switch portfolio with TPE-TG44g and TPE-TG80g models from 8 harbours + Gigabit GREENnet, and the TPE-T88g of 16 Ports to 10/100 mbps + GREENnet.
TRENDnet announced the availability of three new PoE+ switches. PoE technology (Power over Ethernet), that combines data and current over Ethernet cables, Makes it easy to install devices in remote locations, No need for a power outlet near the device. It also provides significant savings in assembly time and cost.
The PoE standard is based on the IEEE 802.11af specification and provides up to 15.4 Watts of power per switch port. now, New PoE+ standard doubles power supplied by PoE port. PoE+ is based on the IEEE 802.11at specification and provides up to 30 Watts of power per port. PoE+ has been designed to support those devices in need of power, as it happens in outdoor access points and PTZ IP cameras.
The new models in this series are:
– Eight-port GREENnet Gigabit PoE+ switch – TPE-TG44g. This model is distinguished by four PoE+ ports; Four gigabit ports (non-PoE); switching capacity 16 Gbps; Rugged metal housing 'desktop'; and energy savings up to 75 percent through GREENnet technology.
– Eight-port GREENnet Gigabit PoE+ switch – TPE-TG80g. This switch is characterized by eight gigabit PoE+ ports; switching capacity 16 Gbps; Rugged metal housing 'desktop'; and energy savings of up to 75 percent thanks to GREENnet technology.
– Sixteen-port GREENnet PoE+ switch 10/100 mbps – TPE-T88g. TPE-T88g features eight PoE+ Ethernet ports; eight Ethernet ports (non-PoE); switching capacity 3.2 Gbps; Rugged rackmount metal housing; and energy savings up to 40 percent through GREENnet technology.
