Mix Rack users who are now working with up to two remote stage racks, you can easily remove your cards from the local rack and install them on Stage48 modules, counting on the inputs and outputs on stage.

Venue MixRack Remote Option

Avid announced a new option for Mix Rack systems, they can now receive remote inputs and outputs thanks to the addition of a Snake Card Ethernet card and up to two Stage48 remote modules.

The Venue Mix Rack system was once presented as a more accessible variant of the Venue Profile system, and one of the main differences between the two is that the Mix Rack system has all its inputs and outputs in the local rack (Foh). However, those Mix Rack users who are now looking at working with up to two remote stage racks, you can easily remove your cards from the local rack and install them on Stage48 modules, which provides the obvious advantages of having the inputs and outputs on stage. With simple Cat5 wiring it is possible to have Stage48 units at a distance of up to 100 metre, with the added security of a redundant connection.

A Mix Rack system complemented by Stage48 modules supports a maximum of 48 microphone inputs and 32 outputs in various formats (Analog, AES and Aviom A-Net, among others).

To further expand the input and output possibilities of a Mix Rack and take advantage of its 112 processing channels, users can install the optional IOx card, providing eight analog inputs and outputs and eight other digital AES inputs and outputs, all of them in mix Rack itself, what they mean 16 additional inputs/outputs in total.

The Snake Card and Stage48 modules are identical to those supplied with the SC48 Remote system, and can be exchanged between the two systems so that sound rental and event production companies have maximum inventory flexibility.

This extension requires the Mix Rack system to have the 3 Venue software. likewise, firmware version 7.12 has to be installed on both the Snake Card Ethernet card and the Stage48 module.
