Synology Surveillance Station CMS: beta version for high-performance digital surveillance projects
Synology's New Version of Surveillance Station CMS Offers Greater Flexibility and Interoperability with Other Security Systems Centrally, in high-performance digital surveillance projects.
The IP Security Solution Provider Synology has available the beta version of Surveillance Station, offering efficiency and flexibility with the Central Management System platform (cms) and the support of ONVIF Profile S and Mobotix MxPEG, designed for large companies with digital surveillance projects.
Synology CMS has been designed for large enterprises with high-level security projects. This platform centralizes the management of recording servers and widely dispersed IP cameras, including the configuration of the authorized user or group.
The system allows the visualization of live broadcasts, playback of recordings and also performing intelligent video analysis of multiple IP cameras, all in a CMS host.
For the CEO of Synology, Vic Hsu, this new version "facilitates enterprise-level projects and decreases administrator workload, demonstrating our commitment to providing users with flexible, high-performance digital surveillance solutions.".
Another advantage of Synology CMS is that it filters the list of cameras and recordings according to different criteria, offering a fast and unified search experience. It also offers options to centralize notifications and register various recording services on the CMS host.
In this sense, the ip cameras in an installation can migrate between different recording servers and all camera licenses are centralized on the cms host, so that management efficiency is increased.
Surveillance Station interacts seamlessly with the wide range of IP cameras that follow the Onvip Profile S standard, which also simplifies the management of the security system. In order to increase compatibility, the system can integrate the MxPEG codec from the German manufacturer Mobotix, that consumes less power and takes up less storage capacity when capturing high-quality images.
The new Surveillance Station version is free to download for users who have a DiskStation or RackStation x09 series onwards.
