Bosch introduces the SOLUTION over IP for DCN Multimedia conferences and the PLENA Matrix digital sound system

Bosch combines in its new solution for audio conferencing, video, multimedia content, Internet access, superior audio quality and an open architecture over IP. On the other hand, launches a proposal for public address and surprisingly flexible ambient sound, with powerful management control and premium audio quality.

Bosch presented on Thursday in Madrid two new solutions for communications: dcN Multimedia conferencing system and the digital audio proposal for an average segment of the market, PLENA Matrix.

Antonio Escamilla, Bosch Security Systems Iberia Director, has stood out by coinciding with these additions that “although it's a difficult situation in the market, from Bosch we consider it as a possibility to launch products and solutions different from those we have offered so far, thus being entrepreneurs at the front line of technological innovation”.

DCN Multimedia, more than a conference system

Bosch has come to a join in its new DCN Multimedia Audio Conferencing Solution, video, multimedia content, Internet access, superior audio quality and an open architecture over IP conceived as an open platform for third-party app in a friendly environment.

Until now, Bosch had the DCN-NG system focused on meetings with/without a vote and with/without simultaneous translation. However, the market was asking for something else so now they're launching DCN Multimedia, a proposal designed for projects that require multimedia functionality. Both DCN-NG and DCN Multimedia will live in the Bosch catalogue.

With a careful design, the conference unit, thanks to its Internet connection, will allow the user to access documents, audio, Video streaming... or share presentations, all this from a touch screen with very friendly interface.

DCN Multimedia is the first IP system working on Omneo open network architecture. A big window through using existing network infrastructures, because it is possible to deploy the system from any standard Ethernet network in both a star configuration (Cat 5 or higher) or looping, or a combination of both according to the needs.

DcN Multimedia deployment can grow as customer needs are done, with a fully open platform scheme. The unit works under Android (which will lead to the development of App by third parties) and audio and data communications under Omneo, Dante and Onvif. The unit can be added functions through the app that Bosch is launching, using third-party or custom-developed applications. So, you won't need to change the drive but just update it by software.

This new conference system also stands out for its high quality audio quality and the incorporation of a discreet micro and a two-way high-voice system in the unit itself. Intelligent acoustic feedback suppressor prevents unpleasant couplings, and also has advanced EQ settings to adapt the system to each room. All of this results in very natural sound quality.

When it comes to usability,, from its 7-inch touchscreen” and thanks to a very intuitive and ergonomic interface, any conference participant will be able to manage the unit.

On the other hand, it should be noted that the system is safe and reliable, because all audio and control data is encrypted under market standards (AES for audio and SSL for data).

In terms of savings, Bosch's new proposal will eliminate the need to print documents and reduce travel expenses as multi-room or multipoint meetings can be held in another building or city in the future by sharing the same audio and content. The system supports automatic camera tracking by showing the caller on the screen of each unit.
DCN Multimedia will be available from the end of September.

PLENA Matrix, premium ambient sound

Another of Bosch's new solutions is PLENA Matrix, a proposal for public address and surprisingly flexible ambient sound, with powerful management control, premium audio quality, Easy assembly, wireless control, and the possibility of achieving great energy savings through presence detection.

To date Bosch has worked with conventional public address and voice emergency systems. His catalogue missed a solution for the segment of low impedance and professional sound. now, PLENA Matrix will allow you to have professional quality music and sound coming close to the mid-range professional sound. In a way, combines a professional audio system as well as a public address system.

Aimed at specific businesses that require beyond ambient music and that look for a professional-quality sound according to the idiosyncrasies of your business, PLENA Matrix allows you to hear a high quality sound not only for music or calls but far beyond, even, for musical performances at small venues. Advanced parametric/multiband equalization and the use of HPF/LPF filters in input and output enable this superior audio quality to be achieved.

The system, quick and easy to install with a flexible interface based on iOS devices, consists of a processor-mixer with eight inputs and eight outputs (PLM-8M8), an amplifier (PLM-4P125 or PLM-4P220 in 125 and 220 Watts, respectively), the PLM-8CS call station (to have a small PA system and make calls up to 8 zones or groups) and a PLM-WPC wall panel.

The configuration of this item will depend on the needs of the installation, being able to get to 8 call stations and 16 wall panels.

The amplifiers are Class-D type with energy saving function and automatic mode at rest using Bosch presence detectors (if there are no people in an enclosure, would pass the amplifier to standby mode).

All connection is carried out by CAT 5 or higher, controlling the entire system from an iOS device (iPhone or iPad), a PC or from the wall panel itself.

PLENA Matrix will allow, For example, have different music in a restaurant with different environments or in each room of a gym, being able to even incorporate live music in small venues.
