Barco and Genetec Integrate IP Visualization and Security in Operations and Control Centers

The multinationals Barco and Genetec have once again joined their expertise resulting in an innovative Barco CMS plug-in integrated into Genetec's unified IP security solution, to improve visualization in operations and control centers.

At an emergency operations center (EOC), a second can be critical for survival and efficient decision-making. With this objective, The Application Node TransForm N and its CMS control room management software has been integrated with Genetec's Omnicast system.

Thanks to this, Multiple operators working on an incident can quickly take visual information from numerous sources to form a common operational picture. This single point of view can be transferred to a video wall or any screen on the network, in order to provide a global vision to promote greater understanding and facilitate collaboration between the various agencies in the event of a large-scale emergency.

With the interface that is established between Barco CMS and Genetec Omnicast, public bodies can deliver IP video streams for EOC in a secure and controlled manner, allowing access only to permitted sources, as well as the central record of each activity to guarantee information security.

Operators can capture information from more sources and easily view footage from video surveillance cameras, by dragging and dropping it into various viewpoints using the CMS GUI.
