Bosch Security integrates in an IP interface the fire detection center with public address and voice evacuation
The new Bosch Security IP interface integrates the FPA-5000 modular fire detection center with the Praesideo digital public address and voice evacuation system.
One more step in the integration of security systems is that of Bosch Security Systems with the development of a new IP interface that integrates the latest in fire protection for the connection of the FPA-5000 plant with the company's Praesideo digital public address and voice evacuation system.
In addition to hardware, there is also a software version that allows Praesideo to connect with the FPA modular fire detection center through the Ethernet port of the MPC controller.
The fire detection center and the evacuation system are connected via Ethernet, which brings such important benefits for customers, such as not having to install additional hardware modules and complex cabling, with the consequent saving of time and cost in the installation.
Another important advantage is that the risk of deploying incorrect wiring is eliminated., as only one Ethernet connection is required instead of the multiple cable connections that were commonly needed.
In addition, thanks to the wide number of diagnostic functions, there is a continuous and fast analysis of the connection status, resulting in clear feedback. In the event that it is required to extend the system, another benefit is that the rewiring of hardware connections is not complex.
The latest version of the Bosch Security FPA-5000 modular fire detection center offers these functionalities, since it equips an IP communication interface to the praesideo digital public address and voice evacuation system, ensuring an easy-to-use connection between systems.
As they point out from the company, with this development "security is put at a higher level, as the connection is continuously monitored. In case of loss of communication, the system automatically re-establishes the connection, while error messages are displayed on each alarm panel".
This IP communication interface complies with the EN standard 54, and is an ideal solution for large installations that require numerous control points or for environments as complex as airports and railway stations, as it can also be connected to an existing third-party building management system via OPC or via a software development kit.
