Lane Stadium chooses Daktronics to renovate its sound infrastructure
Daktronics has opted for Harman technology, with JBL speakers and BSS and Soundcraft audio equipment, to renovate the sound infrastructure of Lane Stadium located at Virginia Tech University.
The Lane Stadium is a football stadium with capacity for 66.233 amateurs that is located on the campus of the public university Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Blacksburg – Virginie), also known as Virginia Tech. The Virginia Tech Hokies college football team opened in 1931.

Daktronics has installed the speakers JBL VLA Series as well as the equipment of Bss and Soundcraft. Daktronics selected VLA Series line arrays from JBL Professional, that offer a high impact sound beyond what can be achieved with traditional models.
The sound infrastructure that Daktronics has installed in the Lane Stadiun integrates 18 JBL VLA601H speakers, four JBL VLA301H, two JBL PD5212 and two JBL PD764. All driven by 17 Crown I-Tech HD 4 amplifiers×3500 and nine I-Tech 9000, with two BSS Soundweb London BLU-800. The system is managed from a mixed mixing console of light and sound Soundcraft Performer 3.
