Moment Factory creates a great projection of videomapping as a preamble to Super Bowl XLVIII
The façade of Macy's in New York offered an epic multimedia show by the hand of Moment Factory as a preamble to the great event of Super Bowl XLVIII. A videomapping projection made in 2D/3D on a surface of 3.390 square meters.
Sunday 2 february was held the grand final of the United States professional football league (National Football League – NFL), Super Bowl XLVIII. A great show that in the preceding days was celebrated with different shows such as the one performed by Moment Factory.
Moment Factory has helped bring The Super Bowl Boulevard to life with a spectacular multimedia show that was projected on a surface of 3.390 square meters from Wednesday night 29 From January to Saturday 1 February. The place chosen was the façade of the iconic New Macy's building, located in herald square.
After the success of the multimedia shows that Moment Factory performed at the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, as well as the visual effects I created for Madonna's show during the XLVI Super Bowl halftime, the NFL and the company's event organizers PPW they decided to hire their services for the realization of this great projection that was offered every half hour, between five in the afternoon and nine and a half in the evening, with a duration of eight minutes.
The visual spectacle has incorporated original footage, 2D/3D animations and special effects that transformed the images as if they were leaving the screen creating an experience as captivating as football itself.
Moment Factory developed a five-act narrative that developed around the idea of fusion. The story explores the union of the two drivers of the game, New York and New Jersey, the present and future of football and the embrace of winter as a force in this year's game. A mix of NFL stock images, ranging from the 8 millimeters to digital, where some of the highlights of the season are highlighted 2013-14, like the snowstorm that hit a game in Philadelphia, as well as the most famous faces of American football such as Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Brett Favre, Dick Buktus, Johnny Unitas and Jim Brown.
Like most of Moment Factory's large-scale shows, the Super Bowl Virtual Theater required the collaboration of the company's internal team, which includes technology areas, graphic design, digital animation and management, as well as a proven skill in conceptualizing and creating these captivating environments.
During the design of special effects, the artists took into consideration the unique architecture of Macy's and the urban configuration of the show.
