Roland Systems Group has premiered in Ise 2014, the new VR-3EX, Its latest all-in-one audio/video mixer that reinforces and expands the growing lineup of mixers for live production and recording solutions. Includes an audio mixer, a video mixer, touch screen, and USB port for recording and streaming. The unit updates the most elementary model, the Roland VR-3 adding HDMI inputs/outputs, including a scaler to deliver signals up to 1080p and WUXGA, with HDCP support and more than 200 Transitions and effects. Includes a digital mixer 18 Audio channels with effects.
The Roland VR-3EX expands the possibilities at a very affordable price making it ideal for a variety of markets including education, corporate events, Live productions and sports. Its innovative design incorporates a video switcher, an audio mixer, preamp touchscreen and a USB port ready for streaming or recording on a single unit. Video inputs 1 to 3 accept Compound (RCA) or HDMI (SD only) while the entrance 4 accepts HDMI, RGB/Component or Composite Video. Output has the ability to scale up to 1080p resolutions via HDMI or Components, 1920×1200 (WUXGA) via RGB or SD (NTSC/PAL) Compound pathway. An additional HDMI output is included for an external pre-monitor.
Designed to be combined as a switcher for live and webstreaming device, The Roland VR-3EX incorporates audio embedding and audio mixer with delay controls on each input and on the USB for easy audio and video synchronization. Supports HDCP content, allowing the handling of copyrighted signals such as game consoles and Blu-ray in live production. Composition effect such as Chroma key or Luma key, as well as Picture in Picture, allow the overlay of titles/logos or use virtual backgrounds. The HDMI inputs of 1 to 3 Accept resolutions up to 480p/576p and input 4 supports HDMI resolutions up to 1080p and RGB up to WUXGA (1920×1200). Although the internal process is based on SD, The output can be climbed up to 1080p or 1920×1200.
