Samsung's 85" UHD TV is put at the service of the Prado Museum to watch the documentary 'The passion of the Prado’
As a technological collaborator of the Prado Museum, Samsung has contributed its 85" S9 TV so that visitors can watch the documentary 'The Passion of the Prado' in ultra high definition, with all precision, richness and realism of image.
Co-produced by TVE and premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival, 'The Passion of the Prado' is a documentary shot in ultra high definition 4K about the history and collections of this world-renowned art gallery, which visitors can now see in the conference room of the museum's Jerónimos building.
To do this, Samsung has contributed, in his capacity as a technological collaborator of the Prado Museum, your S9 system, an 85" and UHD TV so that this documentary can be seen in detail, accuracy and image quality offered by 4K ultra high definition technology, four times higher than full HD resolution.
This documentary, fifty minutes long, is screened uninterruptedly throughout the opening hours of the museum in its Version in Spanish and English, with free access for all visitors to the art gallery.
This is the second project in which Samsung is a technological collaborator (see the news published in Digital AV Magazine), since its incorporation last October to the sponsorship program of the Prado Museum as a protective member contributing its technological experience. The first of these was on the occasion of the exhibition 'Rome in the pocket', in which the visitor could enjoy the experience of browsing on a Samsung Galaxy Note tablet 10.1 the sketchbooks of Mariano Salvador Maella, José del Castillo and Francisco de Goya, owned by the Prado Museum.
For Francisco Hortigüela, Marketing Director of Samsung, "The making of this documentary is a sample of the infinite possibilities offered by UHD technology. To be able to visualize the exciting history of a museum like this, with the highest possible quality, it is for us a source of pride since you can observe with total precision the pictorial jewels offered by this museum. These collaborations help us in our goal of making technology accessible to everyone and contributing to the spread of culture in a way never seen before.".
