Sequoia Group has acquired the 55% of BGL Audiovisual Engineering, company specialized in the design and execution of audiovisual projects with a client portfolio oriented toward museums, auditoriums, universities, theaters and television channels.

The operation has been carried out as a direct acquisition by the Secuoya Group of the 55% of BGL's capital to the company's original shareholders, the Gil Pérez family. Both partners have reached an agreement to provide additional funds to boost BGL's international growth and expansion plan..

Through this operation, Secuoya continues its process of growth and sectoral aggregation that began after the incorporation of venture capital N+1 Mercapital to Secuoya's shareholders in October 2012.

Founded in 1968, BGL has specialized in the design of broadcast audiovisual engineering projects (TV and radio installations, post-production, news editing systems, continuity, virtual scenery, ENG…), having diversified its activities in recent years towards a type of value-added projects where the technological and innovative component is key.

In the international arena, The company has managed to position itself as a benchmark in audiovisual engineering, carrying out emblematic projects such as the Boris Yeltsin Museum in Yekaterinburg (Russia; currently running), the Qatar History Museum, the Russian Pavilion at the Korea Expo 2012, the Nigerian Library Museum or the Treasures of Aga Khan exhibition in Istanbul (Türkiye). In the same way, develops its business in Algeria and other Maghreb countries through its subsidiary BIP Systems. Outsourcing in autonomous regions

Another notable strategic aspect is the fact that BGL exploits 8 UTEs y dos joint ventures (in association with partners such as the Heraldo group) through which it provides outsourcing services to clients such as RTVE, Channel On, IB3 or Aragón Television.
