Sephora brings augmented reality to the world of cosmetics with ModiFace's 3D mirror

Sephora has launched this experience in one of its stores in Milan and has used the technology of ModiFace to offer a 3D augmented reality mirror that allows you to recreate how the paintings and makeup will look without the client having to paint herself.
Its operation is very simple, You just have to stand in front of the mirror and a camera is responsible for detecting the position. On screen, An enlarged color palette for eyeshadows will be displayed and once selected the one you want it will be displayed in the mirror, virtually, how it would look on the face of the person being looked at.
The mirror is designed with an LCD screen that incorporates a high-definition camera that captures the image. ModiFace's technology is responsible for tracking the face and recording the location of facial features. An interface that is able to recognize gestures and movements, so that the user can change position and see the result head-on, in profile or from any other angle.
