Software available for Yamaha CL and QL digital consoles and StageMix app
Yamaha's CL and QL digital mixing consoles now have firmware V2.03 and CL Editor, as well as V1.07 and QL Editor v1.03 updates, respectively, Available as free downloads. The company has presented version 4.5 for your StageMix iPad app.
The multinational Yamaha has available for free download firmware V2.03 and CL Editor for consoles of the CL series; QL Editor v1.03 firmware and updates for QL series consoles and version 4.5 from the StageMix iPad app for QL, CL, M7CL and LS9.
New additions to firmware V2.03 for CL digital console include:
- 'Daisy chain' inserts. Users can insert two devices into a single channel or bus.
- DCA control on main channels, stereo/mono bus or Matrix Mix.
- Quick access with a DCA Roll button to DCA tasks in fader banks.
- Monitor gain reduction meters assigned to the channel display.
- CL consoles now support Mix minus function, that removes a specific channel signal from signals sent to Mix buses / Matrix.
- New functions can be assigned to user-defined keys, KNOBs and assignable encoders.
- Users can temporarily turn on sound on a muted channel in the mute group.
- Recall Safe parameters are linked for linked channels.
- If profit compensation is enabled, Users can link the digital gain to the analog gain operation.
- Users can compare sound before and after gain adjustments during GEQ trades.
Features of StageMix 4.5 for control on iPad for CL consoles, QL, M7CL and LS9:
- Full console oscillator control.
- Direct channel navigation on CPE editor screens / GEQ / Dynamics.
- Pre setting / Global post for mixing shipping.
- Nomination of Mute groups.
- Connection between analog and digital gain.
- Insert of 1/2 in equalization
QL firmware V1.07 offers minor improvements for users of this console. Firmware updates and Editor software updates are available free of charge on this link. StageMix 4.5 can be downloaded for free from the iTunes store or directly to an iPad via the iOS App Store app.
