NEC Display provides visual systems for Sherlock Holmes exhibition at London Museum
The next 17 October, the Museum of London will premiere an exhibition, dedicated to the figure of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, whose key piece will be a videowall formed by 16 NEC X464UN 46" displays that will display the images supplied from a PX750U projector.
NEC Display Solutions has been chosen as a technological partner for the exhibition on Sherlock Holmes that will premiere at the Museum of London next October. This is the first major exhibition to be held in the capital of the United Kingdom since 1951 of the most famous fictional detective in the world.
The curators of the exhibition will make extensive use of film and photographs to weave together the many faces of Sherlock Holmes.. With the experience of NEC, The museum is making an ambitious and impactful climax to the exhibition, that will give visitors a fully immersive experience.
“We have identified NEC videowall technology as the best technological solution for this part of the exhibition, which will also be the final section and the one that all our visitors will be talking about it”, explains Rebecca Gilmore, Project Director at the Museum of London.
Throughout the exhibition, an NEC desktop will also be installed, large format screens and a PX750U projector that will be responsible for transmitting the contents, whereas 16 Backlit LED displays 46 NEC X464UN inches will form the videowall that will be the central element of the exhibition.
“Building on the success of the latest exhibitions at the museum, and in the interest aroused in the public by the figure of Sherlock Holmes, We hope to attract more than 100.000 visitors in the course of the exhibition that will be open from the 17 October 2014 to the 12 April 2015,” comments Rebecca Gilmore.
