The Commonwealth Games 2014, the MTV Video Music Awards and bbc Radio 1's Big Weekend have been some of the most relevant events that have made this year the Scottish city of Glasgow had a large concentration of visitors.

The new control center, opened at the beginning of the year, has been key to the development of these events as it has allowed to guarantee security and provide a better service to citizens. Emergency services are managed from these facilities, traffic cameras and surveillance of the city's shops. A project in which security and traffic cameras have been joined in the same control center, allowing the tracking of hundreds of images provided by the CCTV camera system that offers real-time information to operations personnel, allowing planning to react more quickly to emergency situations.

At this Glasgow hub (GOC) technology plays a fundamental role, introduced by the hand of Eyevis that has provided a visualization solution composed of 85 LCD screens 55 inches installed in different configurations showing live sequences of the 440 cameras integrated into the closed circuit television (CCTV) of Glasgow city centre.

The integration of this visualization project has been carried out by the company specialized in AV installations, SSUK, that has been commissioned to design, supply and install the 85 Eyevis LCD screens.

In the main room of the GOC has been implemented a videowall of 12×2 made up of 24 Screens, in addition, others have been installed 16 videowalls inside the control room in configurations of 2×2, 3×2 and 4×2, and, some additional individual screens are also available.

This was a project that posed great challenges in many ways since the building had been completely renovated to fulfill the functions for which it was to be destined.. This required that the plants be reinforced and a complete renovation of all systems., accessories and furniture.

When installing the screens, SSUK had to find a partner, Peerless-AV, to provide him with the supports he needed given the characteristics of the room. The control center is designed with glass panels so the fastening of the videowall to the wall was complicated. To work around this issue, Peerless-AV supplied its ground supports that offer the security that was sought.
