Through an audiovisual show held in six dimensions, that combines videomapping, Holograms, laser and olfactory effects, Toledo Time Capsule traps the viewer in a multisensory experience and takes them to the City of Three Cultures.

Since this October the Royal Foundation of Toledo has become the headquarters of a multisensory experience that narrates the present, past and future of the city. Under the name Toledo Time Capsule an audiovisual show is offered in six dimensions that combines different technologies such as videomapping, Holograms, laser, olfactory effects, rain and wind. The result is a hyper-realistic atmosphere that transports the viewer to the Middle Ages.

This is a new experience in Spain that has already been realized in other countries such as Italy, United Kingdom and UNITED States, and that began to forge itself in 2009.

Toledo Time Capsule

Toledo has been chosen for this permanent exhibition for its historic coexistence between three cultures (Christian, Muslim and Jewish) who lived, shared and created The Cohabitation: the interaction of cultural ideas between religions and ethnic groups. Toledo Time Capsule offers a different perspective than, as its mayor explains, Emiliano García-Page, "complements and enriches the visit to the city. To host this show means to enhance forever in Toledo the capital of La Convivencia. It is a very useful synthesis of twenty centuries".

The city of Toledo and its heritage wealth is the protagonist of the piece, which lasts for about 23 offers the viewer a unique experience about the city's history and symbolism.

For the realization of this innovative show has been designed and created a stage as it shows the world the historical-cultural heritage of Toledo. The audience is integrated into a space of leisure and culture and lives as a spectator a first-person journey activating its five senses.

In the realization of this innovative screening show has participated the firm BGL Audiovisual Engineering responsible for providing the technological means. A project in which it has provided a surround sound system 8.1 made up of 14 Speakers, five high-resolution projectors, Holograms, robotic video cameras and an enveloping LED network that take the public on that journey back in time.

likewise, has also taken care of the special effects of smoke, wind and olfactorys, as well as videomapping. On the other hand, BGL Audiovisual Engineering has also provided an LED curtain of 55 mmm which has dimensions of 7,21 X 10 metre.

"Our merit is to support the ideas of creatives. Toledo Time Capsule is a multisensory show, immersive and interactive", explains Angel Gil, CEO of the company.

Production has been carried out by Orpan Group under the direction of Yaron Meiri, its owner and creative head, leader in the field of multicultural experiences that trap the audience. "A place that has good roots can have a better future and Toledo Time Capsule is the combination of augmented reality, with a technology that allows to break the boundaries combining the emotional with the cognitive", comments Meiri.

Choreography, of great vitality, has been devised by Mayumana, dance group, founded in Israel, who works percussion on picturesque objects such as dumpsters and other recycled objects.
