Samsung Electronics has officially presented the Curved UHD S9W TV, a team of 105 inches that is cataloged by its manufacturer as the largest in the world within its category. “Hemos tratado de crear una ventana al mundo con una sensación de inmersión única que permite a los usuarios descubrir nuevas posibilidades. Its size and features make it a premium TV designed to enjoy an immersive cinematic experience that captures all the senses", comments Raúl Martín, EC Division Director at Samsung Electronics
With a Timeless Gallery design and anodized aluminum finish, the Samsung S9W has been built taking care of even the smallest detail, with speakers built into the frame for immersive sound. Your widescreen 21:9 offers a resolution of 11 millions of pixels (5120X2160), five times more than a Full HD device, capable of adjusting any content to UHD resolution, thanks to UHD Upscaling. On the other hand, Peak Illuminator image quality technology, Samsung's own, is able to distinguish brightness differences, even with very dark images.
The curved design of the S9W display 105 inches provides a larger field of view as it generates a greater perception than flat TVs. In addition, creates a panoramic effect that manages to absorb the viewer. This field of view generates more realistic sensations, since areas of the eye are stimulated much more sensitive to moving images. Its curvature improves the image perceived by the viewer from any angle, visually immersing him in the center of the action..
The S9W TV features a bend radius of 4,2 metre, approaching the viewing distance suitable for UHD televisions, much shorter than the distance for FHD (8 Approximately meters). Its image quality and density of pixels per inch allows images to be viewed from a distance of 1,8 metre.
To reinforce that cinematic and immersive feeling this TV has Autodepth Enhancer, technology that gives images a depth that brings them closer to a glasses-free 3D. In addition, PurColour achieves a more natural colour treatment, capturing the images as conceived by the director.
This team was announced at IFA 2014, as already published Digital AV Magazine, and will be available in the Spanish market from 2015.
