Elo Touch and Mifitto develop a digital signage solution that facilitates the purchase of shoes

A 3D scanner and an Elo Touch 3201L touch screen are the elements that make up the solution developed by Mifitto to ensure that the shoes fit on the customer's foot.

Mifitto, A young German company that focuses its activity on the development of tools to improve the footwear shopping experience, has developed with the technology of Elo Touch Systems A solution that allows you to measure the size and shape of the feet to acquire the shoe that best suits that last. The solution consists of a 3D foot scanner and an interactive touch screen.

It is a solution that brings great benefits, both to the store and to customers. The system looks for the shoe that best suits each foot with which buyer satisfaction is achieved and allows sales to increase. First the foot is measured with the scanner and the most appropriate recommendations are displayed on the touch screen.

For this project, Mifitto opted for the Elo Touch 3201L touchscreen, "as it offered us high quality and stable and reliable performance", Explains, Thomas Harmes, director of Mifitto.

The touch screen of 32 inch 3201L incorporates an LCD panel and Led backlight, with a color-active matrix thin-film transistor of 24 bits that deliver display performance with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a brightness of 350 cd m². Features that make it an ideal digital signage solution for viewing both graphics and images indoors.

On the other hand, 3201L display is available with projected capacitive technology (PCAP) o IntelliTouch Plus surface acoustic wave touch technologies.

For the development of the 3D foot scanner, mifitto was assisted by experts in the footwear sector as well as scientists from the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (Fraunhofer IIS), researchers who were responsible for inventing the MP3 format.

Proven development
