GoPro bets on virtual reality technology with the purchase of Kolor

The camera manufacturer GoPro has taken another step in the production of video and image recording in extreme environments with the purchase of the virtual reality software developer Kolor. According to the official statement, The company's objective is to expand its scope of action in this market segment, dominated so far by Samsung Gear VR and Oculus Rift, with the creation of a camera capable of recording in 360º.
In this sense, Kollor's virtual reality technology, Called 'spherical content', that combines images and videos to create an immersive video player that the user can view in 360º.
In addition, this virtual reality software developer has also created Kolor Eyes, an app for iOS and Android that allows the playback of recordings in the most popular virtual reality viewers.
