AMC Theatres improves customer experience with Pyramid polytouch digital kiosks
American film network AMC Theatres (American Multi-Cinema) has implemented an omnichannel strategy, pyramid's all-in-one digital touch kiosks and online and mobile sales channels to improve customer service by streamlining the check-out process.
The omnichannel strategy implemented by AMC Theatres, one of the largest American film chains, is based on the deployment of the polytouch, German specialist's all-in-one digital kiosks Pyramid, to avoid waiting times in the boxes, thus streamlining the check-out process with the integration of multiple sales channels (online, mobile, Etc.).
With the slogan 'the experience of difference', the chain needed a system that would improve its customer service through a self-service digital kiosk, replacing traditional systems, that also provided information on upcoming events, increased ticket sales and had an attractive and easy-to-use design.
Pyramid's polytouch systems met these requirements, providing advanced touch technology, reliability in self-service, flexibility in its deployment and design in all AMC Theatre rooms distributed across the country, as well as options to integrate payment technologies, contents, Etc. in the future in order to increase customer engagement, contribute to your shopping satisfaction through digital kiosks and increase sales.
After a pilot phase in some rooms selected by the company, kiosks "have had an excellent reception and response from users", point from AMC Theatres, so they're currently deploying across your network.
Pyramid has developed for this project a fully customized polytouch kiosk for this chain, integrated with a Full HD touch screen in portrait format and customized for AMC Theatres, allowing up to twenty touches simultaneously with less than 10 ms of latency, IP54 rated and protected by non-reflective hardened glass, with processor Intel Core and expansion modules to integrate barcode and QR reader, thermal printer, loyalty program bonuses, magnetic card reader for payment and emergency stop button, among other features.
