The lighting design made for fito's 'Huyendo conmigo de mi' tour & Fitipaldis consists of three cross-shaped structures, composed of 39 Cuepix Panel, above the band, and a Led video screen installed on the back of the stage.

Singer-songwriter Fito Cabrales and his band Fito & Fitipaldis has gotten back on track this summer with the second part of a tour, made by large outdoor enclosures, which aims to release his latest album 'Huyendo conmigo de mí'. This extensive tour will continue during the months of September and October with concerts in cities such as Seville, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Zaragoza, to close at the BEC in Bilbao on Saturday 24 October.

The lighting design of this tour, by Luis Pastor, it has three cross-shaped structures suspended above the stage and composed of several units of the Cuepix Panel LED matrix Elation Professional, whose products it distributes Visuals. Production Resource Group (Prg) is responsible for providing all sound equipment, video and lighting for this tour.

These three cross-shaped truss structures each have 13 Cuepix Panel units, for a total of 39 units, and are suspended by a kinesys motor system that allows different positioning in each of these crossings during the different sections of the concert.

The Cuepix Panel from Elation Professional is a high luminosity LED array that features 25 LED RGB type COB (Chip-On-Board) 30-watts of power each, for a total of 750-watts per unit. "Aesthetically, the Cuepix Panel is a robust device, designed both for events where you have to take care of the aesthetics and for rock tours, where he is able to receive a not so soft and delicate treatment", explains Aitor Beloqui, of the company PRG and responsible for the lighting equipment, sound and video on tour.

The production team of this summer tour has managed to offer the attendees of these fito concerts & Fitipaldis a visual experience very similar to the one they could enjoy in the concerts in theaters at the end of the 2014. To achieve this goal, an intense work of assembling structures is carried out for each concert.

"This lighting design has a lot of appliances and moving elements concentrated at the rear of the structure. The idea was that we could do the same show in both summer and winter., when the assemblies are made indoors with much more favorable conditions", clarifies Aitor.

The three cross-shaped structures, composed of 39 Cuepix Panel, are located on top of the band and complement the Led video screen that is installed on the back of the stage. "The luminosity of the Cuepix Panel, along with the quality of its color gamut, allows you to launch videos mapped next to a video Led screen without the visual difference being high. This quality makes it easier for the operator to be able to launch the same video on both formats: Led video screen and Cuepix Panels", comment beloqui.

Rafa Carvajal is the lighting programmer and responsible for the lighting control in each of the concerts of this tour. Rafa's use of cuepix panel is varied and includes both the projection of solid colors and programming from the lighting table to textures and pixel-mapping effects from content servers. "The Cuepix Panel has a very dynamic color mix, with the possibility of getting very bright colors at the same time as very saturated.

We generate color and intensity effects and it is worth noting their reaction speed in both color and intensity. They give us many possibilities to empastar and give continuity to the visual contents that we launch in the led video screen".

One of the technical challenges during the pre-production of the tour was to effectively unite the 13 Cuepix Panel and the truss sections that make up each of the three cross-shaped structures. But according to Carvajal, "in the end, the 39 Cuepix Panel have become the most comfortable elements to assemble. The assembly between the different cuepix panel units is very comfortable and the menu and connection is very intuitive.
