New York CityFest uses Elation's Led panels for the stage

Led Elation EPT6IP panels were used for mounting screens located on both sides of the stage and those located in towers with delay speakers, positioned among the audience. An installation that requires 280 NY CityFest equipment.

For NY CityFest, which took place on the Great Lawn of new York's well-known Central Park public park were used 280 modules of the new outdoor led video panel Elation EPT6IP, brand that distributes Visuals.

Audio Spectrum was responsible for assembling the screens, provided by Gemini Light, Sound & video, and the structures and scenario of the event, while video and lighting design was the responsibility of Gordon Painter and Kevin Shaw.

New York CityFest is an outdoor festival organized by the evangelist congregation of Luis Palau, offering live music performances and collaborating with local congregations and charities.

Led Elation EPT6IP panels were used for mounting screens located on both sides of the stage and those located in towers with delay speakers, positioned among the audience, who came to the 60.000 Spectators. These screens showed the realization of cameras during the event and also other visual content and videos that were screened during the performances.

Each of the side screens consisted of 8 Elation EPT6IP panels wide and 14 high, for a total of 112 panels per screen and a total screen size of 5 meters wide by 9 high.

The screens mounted on the two delay towers consisted of 7 panels wide and 4 high, for a total of 28 panels per tower and a screen size of 4,5 by 2,5 metre.

"Around 60.000 people attended this festival, so the goal of mounting these large screens on both sides of the stage was to make it clearly visible to the entire audience. The side screens were clearly visible at any time of the day, also during the hours of greatest sunlight and from hundreds of meters away", luis Jaimes of the company Audio Spectrum and person responsible for the design of the installation of the screens, as well as the assembly and disassembly of the 280 EPT6IP modules.

Elation EPT6IP

The Elation EPT6IP is a led video display with a pixel density of 6,7 Mm, a luminosity of 5.000 Lumens, an IP65 construction that has been designed for applications such as large productions and musical tours.
Its sturdy aluminum structure, design with 4 Detachable Led modules per panel, a quick assembly system and its IP65 construction for outdoor use in all kinds of weather conditions make it a very versatile solution.

"Having large Led screens, and be carried out in the middle of a large esplanade in Central Park, it was absolutely necessary that they could cope with all sorts of weather conditions during the four days they were mounted, taking into account the days of assembly and disassembly, rehearsals and the event itself", luis says.

Having to install hundreds of panels, many of them raised up to 10 meters above ground for positioning, an assembly system between the different panels that was fast and effective was a fundamental feature in choosing Elation's solution.

"EPT6IP panels are extremely easy to assemble and disassemble, which was a very important thing considering the number of panels to be assembled on each of the two main screens with 112 Led panels each. The assembly system of the Elation EPT6IP has allowed us to assemble and disassemble each of the 280 panels that we've used very quickly, even working on assembly and disassembly operations with the help of auxiliary personnel for events who had no previous experience in this type of Led display assembly".
