Convertibles focus Acer's offering in the world of education
Acer has attended SIMO Education 2015 with a wide range of portable solutions based on the Chromebook and Cloudbook family. Likewise, at its stand you can also see its interactive screen of 48 inch and U5 series short throw projectors.
Acer It has a wide presence in the educational market and proof of this are the latest projects it has carried out and which, as Jaume Pausas explains,, Marketing Manager de Iberia, “This market represents in Spain the 15% of our business”.
Among the latest projects that Acer has carried out in the educational market is its participation, for the third consecutive year, in the Educat project. More than 18.000 Parents have selected Acer technology as an educational companion for their children this year due to its light weight, reliability, long battery life, and support.
Among the devices included in this project are the recently launched two-in-one Aspire Switch 10 E and the Iconia A3 tablet, plus the TravelMate B1 notebook. Some equipment that can be seen at the stand that this manufacturer has in SIMO Education 2015.
Aspire Switch 10E
The trend in the educational market is oriented towards the world of convertibles and Acer continues this evolution with its Aspire Switch 10E equipment, an ideal model to use both at school and for regular use and that can be used as a laptop or tablet.
This convertible can run for a whole day in class and then stay on at home to do homework, running up to 11 hours without having to charge its battery. This device comes equipped with an HD screen 10 inches with IPS technology and works with Windows 10.
The Aspire R11 is another of the novelties with which Acer has attended IFEMA. This is a compact convertible device. 11 inches, that integrates into the Chromebook family. Offers four different modes to choose from (notebook, screen, tent or pad) and allows students to use it anywhere.
Inside the Chromebook line, Acer also has a model of 15 inches that offers the balance between a large screen, Chrome performance and portable design, characteristics that make it an ideal option for the student to have as their main computer.
The Acer Chromebook family is designed with Intel processors 64 and Intel Celeron N2830 that offer fast performance and multitasking to run applications.
Cloudbook
Within the Cloudbook family, the Aspire One model stands out, a laptop that combines the user experience of Windows with the flexibility and affordability of a cloud-oriented device.
Besides, incorporates a wide range of features to be used in the training environment. It is light and thin, so it can easily fit in a students backpack; Easily integrates into existing school infrastructure, since it has a fast wireless connection; and is equipped with 1 TB of OneDrive online storage for school projects, multimedia, music and videos. A device that is available in a version of 11,6 y 14 inches.
Educational projection
In the area of projection, The protagonist of the Acer stand is represented by the U5 series models. Equipment designed to improve interaction and collaboration in class.
These systems integrate all the important features for schools, such as short distance projection, the remote control, 3D support or wireless projection capability.
The Acer U5 line of projectors is made up of three models: U5220, U5320W and U5520B.
Tablet
Acer's range of tablets guarantees long battery life and the robustness necessary to withstand the wear and tear of daily use.

El Iconia One 8 It's a new tablet 8 inches designed for those who want a light and portable device, which integrates a MediaTek octa-core MT8151 CPU 1,7 GHz.
