The company's new collaboration proposal offers the possibility of holding meetings, messaging and calling, all managed from the cloud.

culm has gone a step further in improving the Spark collaboration experience, a solution that combines in the same offer managed from the cloud the three types of communication most demanded by users at work: meetings, messaging and calling.

This announcement, held by the company at its recent Collaboration Summit event held in San Francisco, is accompanied by Spark Hybrid Services, that offers the possibility of connecting phones and videoconferencing systems to the cloud to access these services through them for a secure and simple collaboration.

Cisco SparkToday, most workers use non-connecting solutions to hold virtual meetings, share messages with your teams and make phone calls. Cisco Spark offering combines meetings in the same solution, messaging and calling easily. For example, with a single click it is possible to convert a phone call into a video meeting or transfer a video call from a virtual meeting room to the user's mobile device and move it to another room, so that communication is never lost.

Organizations have invested heavily in telephone systems and other equipment that are installed in their offices. In this sense, Cisco Spark Hybrid Services allows you to connect these computers to the cloud. For example, making a call from a Cisco IP phone automatically creates a meeting in a Spark room that both partners have access to and where they can share content with a simple click.

Cisco SparkSpark Hybrid Services delivers a fully seamless user experience, as it is not necessary to configure such a room, that is available when needed. In addition, it is also possible to interconnect the functionality of calendars hosted on-premises to the cloud, simplifying the preparation and management of virtual meetings even from the mobile device: simply type @spark or @webex in the location details when creating an invitation and Cisco Spark will create a room for the group to share ideas and content.

Another advantage is that the configuration of desk phones and video rooms is done as through a QR code. In addition, application programming interfaces (API) are open for third-party developers to design new applications that extend the value of Spark. Cisco Spark is available to all types of organizations through a simple subscription model in which you pay for the services used per user and per month.

As Rowan Trollope emphasizes, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Collaboration Divisions, data analytics and internet of things at Cisco, "We are committed to making work tools enormously simple and enjoyable to use. Spark provides an amazing new experience for users in organizations of all sizes and industries, and this is just the beginning".
