AJA surprises at ISE 2016 with RovoCam, your first compact HDBaseT camera

Its connectivity under HDBaseT protocol allows to distribute audio and video signals with return of control signal and power through a single CAT 5e/6 cable. It has optics with Sony Super Resolution Zoom technology.

Intended for industrial applications, safety, Professional AV or broadcast, Aja has announced in Ise 2016 the launch of its first camera 'block’ compact with HDBaseT connectivity, RovoCam

The camera allows you to capture in both HD and UHD and has an integrated optics Sony 12x up to 20x zoom with technology Sony Super Resolution Zoom. Its sensor is a backlit Sony sensor of 1/2.3 and 8.9 megapixels (Exmor R).

Its connectivity under HDBaseT protocol allows to distribute audio signals (2 canals) and uncompressed video with Visca control signal return and power over a single Cat 5e/6 cable extendable up to 100 metre. By integrating control signals, AV and power in a single cable simplifies installation and configuration.

The camera connects via CAT 5e/6 to the RovoRx-HDMI reception unit from where the signals are collected for distribution in HDMI by the desired means and the zoom is controlled, iris and other camera functions.

The RovoCam has a port for RS232 control (in case you want to take control out the CAT 5e/6) and micro input.

At its stand at ISE, AJA also exhibits its complete line up of converters, with special application in professional AV environments such as ROI to HDMI, ROI to DVI or ROI to DP. We can also see the mini-converters HDBaseT 3G-SDI and HDMI video and HDBaseT control.
