bit 2016 convenes R&D+BIT, a platform for AV research projects

This initiative of the Professional Audiovisual Technology Show (bit) for its next edition 2016 is free to participate and is open to universities and companies in Spain, Portugal and Latin American countries.

With the aim of publicizing research and development projects, both in the university and business fields, that develop technologies with high added value and growth potential applied to the audiovisual industry, bit 2016, Professional Audiovisual Technology Salon, that organizes IFEMA of the 24 to the 26 May 2016, convenes the international platform R+D+BIT.

This initiative also wants to recognize the work of the professionals and entities that make up the world of audiovisual research, whose role is essential in this sector and which will contribute to a better knowledge of ongoing projects by their future beneficiaries, both companies and professionals in this environment and society in general.

A Selection Committee, chaired by Pere Vila, Chief Technology Officer, innovation and systems of RTVE Corporación, consider research projects according to their input as to the timeliness of the research carried out; its ability to influence the future development of the audiovisual industry; its application potential; the originality of its approach, method or object, as well as the ability to bring together and generate collaboration between different stakeholders, and decide which projects will integrate BIT's R&D+BIT 2016.

The selected projects will be supported by extensive news coverage that will place the R+D+BIT platform and its contents in a position of remarkable visibility in the media., in addition to being part of the R&D&BIT exhibition that will be presented, in the format of informative posters, the characteristics of each work during the contest, as well as the sector within the framework of the Technical Conference Program of the fair.

The bases of the call can be consulted on the BIT website 2016 and the deadline for the submission of applications will remain open until the next 10 next April.

An appointment of high professional qualification

bit 2016 will bring together the latest international developments of an industry in permanent progress to offer a complete perspective of the changes and technological trends that have been marking the evolution of the image and sound sector.

The event will take place on key dates to boost the commercial activity of the sector and in a format that will combine the commercial exhibition and the development of an important agenda of activities, with product demos, Talks, workshops, training sessions and workshops to share knowledge, ideas and experiences.

In its last edition, Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology brought together the proposals and novelties of 224 companies of 25 countries and the visit of 8.138 Professional.
