II Panorama Awards 2016

With the aim of promoting technological innovation in the audiovisual sector, The reference publication for professionals in this market, Panorama Audiovisual, has convened the second edition of awards that aim to recognize excellence, technological development and business innovation, professionals and television productions, my e, radio and advertising.

Last Tuesday 26 April, voting was closed via the Internet by the readers of the magazine to choose the finalists of the II Panorama Awards, integrated into thirteen categories that recognize both equipment and technological solutions, Facilities and projects, such as the technical execution of television and radio programmes, Film productions and spots.

As the most outstanding company for its innovation, Technical contribution or irruption in the market, Panorama readers have chosen Hispasat, Ericsson and VSN as finalists in the 'Company of the Year' category.

As for the facilities with the greatest technical relevance ('Installation of the Year'), Ad Hoc studios in Madrid, The new management network, contribution and distribution of Fox Network Group (Madrid) and the renovation of Barça TV's facilities will compete for the award.

As far as solutions are concerned, in 'Technology for recruitment', the shortlist is composed of AK-UC3000 4K (Panasonic), Cion (Aja) and 4K Ultra HD Premier lenses (Fujifilm/Fujinon). In the category of 'Storage and media management' the Isis hardware solution goes to the final 1000 (Avid) and two software, Luxor (Structure) and Evolution (Tedial). In equipment or 'Technology for study', the finalists are the new IP-based mixer, DYVI (EVS), the solution for IP Live production (Sony) and the latest addition to Riedel's MediorNet family, Micron.

As 'Technology for the broadcast and distribution' of content on any platform and device, Panorama readers have chosen as finalists three very different solutions: Avantos (Sapec), Cloud DVR (Ericsson) and Solo (LiveU).

DaVinci Resolve 12 (Blackmagic Design), Flame 2016 (Autodesk) and Mamba FX (Sgo) They are the three solutions that have passed the first cut in the category of equipment or technology applied to post-production environments, composición o efectos ‘Tecnología en postproducción’.

Como programa más innovador en cuanto a su aportación técnica o realización (‘Producción televisiva’) pasan a la final Cuarto Milenio (Four), dirigido por Iker Jiménez y Carmen Porter, producido por Cuarzo Producciones; El Ministerio del Tiempo (Spanish Television), creada por Pablo y Javier Olivares, dirigida por Marc Vigil y producida por Onza Entertainment; y Tu cara me suena (antenna 3), dirigido por Tinet Rubira y Laia Vidal, y producido por Gestmusic Endemol.

Anacleto agente secreto, dirigida por Javier Ruiz Caldera y producida por Warner Bros Spain y Zeta Audiovisual; Atrapa la bandera, dirigida por Enrique Gato y producida por Telecinco Cinema, Telefónica Studios y Los Rockets; and Palm trees in the snow, directed by Fernando González Molina and produced by Warner Bros Spain, Nostromo Pictures and Atresmedia Cine are the three films that opt for the Panorama Award for the most innovative production in terms of their technical contribution, photography, Assembly or sound ('Film production).

Javier de Lucas y Cadenas, will decide the winners of these awards.

To preserve independence and transparency throughout the process, the members of the Jury and their deliberation will only be announced at the II Panorama Awards gala. This ceremony will take place on Tuesday evening, 24 May 2016, in the South Auditorium of Feria de Madrid (IFEMA) coinciding with the opening of the Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology bit 2016.
