QNAP TBS-453A: 4-Bay NASbook for M.2 SSD Disks
A computer that can be used in a wide variety of multimedia applications, connect to a TV or AV receiver to enjoy 4K content, as well as audio, thanks to its two microphone connectors 3,5 Mm, one output port, a built-in speaker and the OceanKTV app.
QNAP Systems has unveiled the NASbook TBS-453A, a portable NAS designed for M.2 SSDs. It is built with the Intel Celeron N3150 Quad-Core processor 14 nm of 1,6 Ghz (which can automatically reach up to 2,08 Ghz) and DDR3L RAM 4 GB/8 GB dual channel.
The TBS-453A is a laptop that provides full NAS functionality with RAID protection in an ultra-compact size, and can act as a physical network switch to share network access with multiple users. With its compact and very quiet design, dual HDMI output and 4K video playback, can be transported and placed anywhere to increase productivity and connectivity.
It has 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 3 Gigabit switching that supports network switch and private network modes. these modes allow you to easily create flexible network environments to improve collaboration in workgroups by allowing connected devices to access files stored on the tbs-453a or share the internet connection.
Delivers up to a data flow of up to 112 MB/sg for each Lan port while being very energy efficient, and supports AES-NI hardware-accelerated encryption to boost the AES encrypted transfer speed of 256 up to the 109 MB/sg per LAN port.
"The use of M.2 SSDs is already quite widespread in ultrabooks and small form factor PCs.. With an extremely small size, are quiet and offer high performance, and their price is expected to become more affordable as they become more popular. The versatile TBS-453A is the world's first M.2 SSD NASbook.", comments Jason Hsu, QNAP Product Manager.
The TBS-453A is supplied with a compact AC adapter and supports a wide range of 10V~20V DC input to meet various power sources. RAM and SSDs are easily accessible for installation and upgrade. Storage capacity can be expanded by connecting it to a UX-800P expansion enclosure of 8 bays or a UX-500P of 5 Bays.
The TBS-453A is also aimed at a wide variety of multimedia applications. Can be connected to a TV or AV receiver to enjoy multimedia content in 4K. With its two microphone connectors of 3,5 Mm, one output port, a built-in speaker, and the OceanKTV app, can be with various audio applications.
This equipment is marketed with several applications to meet professional needs and improve productivity. By connecting a keyboard, a mouse and an HDMI display, The Linux Station allows the NAS to be used as a Linux workstation to power open source software development and to allow users to run Linux applications..
Qsirch functionality allows you to find NAS data with its full-text search engine in near real time; and the QTS Storage Manager provides a web-based snapshot tool for efficient data recovery, which allows up to 1.024 snapshots of volumes and LUNs on a NAS.
The TBS-453A offers, In addition, a hybrid approach to virtualization applications. Virtualization Station allows users to run multiple Windows-based virtual machines, Linux, Unix and Android on the NAS with an HDMI monitor and USB keyboard/mouse (through QvPC technology), and the Container Station that integrates two virtualization technologies LXC and Docker.
