CSS Audiovisual Technology has signed an agreement with the British firm PMC, to distribute in Spain its line of professional audio monitors. The commercialization of the company's HI-FI range is the responsibility of ATConsumer Value Retail.

PMC was founded in 1991 by Peter Thomas and Adrian Loader, based on the experience of both in the areas of music production and professional sound, becoming a benchmark for recording studios internationally.

Its product range is equipped with the ATL (Advance Transmission Line) of PMC, which brings advantages such as better resolution and reduced distortion, plus optimal frequency response and deeper bass, fast and with greater definition. PMC is present in a large number of music recording and mastering studios around the world as well as in the main soundtracks for cinema.

PMC's innovative approach places the bass speaker near the end of a long duct (ATL: Advance Transmission Line), which is heavily damped with acoustic material with detailed specifications to absorb the upper bass and high frequencies radiating from the back of the bass speaker.

This design allows the lower frequencies to pass along the duct and exit the large front opening at the same polarity as the front radiation from the speakers., acting the duct essentially as a second bass speaker.

An advantage of this approach is that the air pressure inside the box charging the bass speaker remains stable.. This helps control the speaker over a wide range of frequencies and reduces low frequency distortion..

Consequently, the detail of the medium and medium-low spectrum is not masked by harmonic distortion, this being the factor that determines that the mid-range of PMC monitors is transparent and smooth, and the precise and defined bass range.
