The Virgen del Rocío Hospital optimizes surgical processes with augmented reality
The application developed in the virtual reality center of T-Systems allows, by recognizing an image, position a 3D model on the patient. This will help the medical team in making decisions before and during the operation..
In collaboration with Digitalis Health, The Virgen del Rocío Hospital has implemented an augmented reality application from T-Systems that allows you to visualize the organ of a patient as a three-dimensional model on the screen of glasses Epson Moverio, that represents it on the patient's body.
This technology, which has been developed at the Virtual Reality Center of T-Systems, is part of a 3D projection initiative of medical images.
The capabilities of the T-Systems solution include segmentation of the part of the heart to be studied, Cleaning geometry, Reducing polygons and exporting them to a format compatible with visualization software.
T-Systems augmented reality solution increases security, Efficiency and reliability for the patient, but also the amount of information available to the doctor.
