The Pepper robot entertains the passengers of the Costa Diadema on their journey through the Mediterranean

The Costa Diadema, flagship of Costa Cruises, has been the place chosen to present Pepper, The first robot capable of recognizing fundamental human emotions and proactively interacting with its environment.

Five Pepper robots are operational on the Costa Diadema cruise ships that travel the Western Mediterranean and their mission is to entertain passengers and make their stay on board a unique and unforgettable experience.

This initiative is the result of the agreement, announced last year, between the Italian cruise line and SoftBank Robotics (formerly Aldebaran), part of SoftBank Group. Released on 2014 in Tokyo, Pepper is equipped with features and a high-level interface that allow it to communicate with those around you using the latest advancements in facial and voice recognition.
