The Plaza de Callao in Madrid debuts the largest outdoor Led screen in Spain

With a surface of 240 square meters, this outdoor stand, designed with Samsung P6 display solution, has become a prime place for advertisers to capture the attention of passers-by.

Plaza de Callao is one of the busiest areas of Madrid. It is the heart of the commercial and leisure district of the city through which more than 51.000 cars up to date and in which they walk 113 millions of people every year. A place where exposed digital signage solutions can reach a large audience and where the Super project 8, created by the founding team of City Lights, continues to expand its facilities.

For the last support of digital signage that has just been released in the area has been used an outdoor Led screen Samsung P6 of 6×37 meters and will be used to promote the contents of the cinemas of the square, as well as to show the most relevant news of the day and advertise other products, Events, Etc.

As we already advanced in Digital AV Magazine, this is the last proposal with which Super 8 culminates dooH infrastructure (Digital Out of Home) what you are doing in this area. The screen is located on the façade of the Metrovacesa building (where the FNAC is located in Callao) and with its 240 square meters becomes the largest to date in Spain.

Among other features, the technology of this new screen allows to offer new applications of live social networks more participatory and with more innovative contents; interactivity with mobile devices with actions that are carried out in the Plaza de Callao at certain times of the day during the broadcast; video game championships with several participants competing at once live; augmented reality actions, as well as live broadcasts made in the same square and in other locations.

The P6 Led screens incorporate high quality diodes to provide a deep contrast and a wider viewing angle with a resolution of 960×5.760. Characteristics that make it ideal for the installation that has been carried out in the Plaza del Callao.

This panel consists of light-emitting diodes (LED) intelligent, and has dust and water resistance functions. In addition, allows you to display for more than 100.000 hours, operating at temperatures between 40 degrees below zero and 55 degrees Celsius.
