Director of the IFA 2016 your new concept of immersive sound: Ambeo 3D
This immersive audio technology is the star of the new features that the manufacturer is presenting these days at the Berlin fair., with a microphone designed for virtual reality productions and a player that tries to virtually simulate the sound of mythical places and settings in the musical world.
The participation of Sennheiser in IFA 2016 (hall 1.2 – stand 202) has as a common denominator not only its new audio solutions and products, but a new immersive sound experience through Ambeo 3D technology, developed from research carried out by the firm for decades.
This new Sennheiser technology is integrated into a series of products that will be gradually introduced to the market., as Ambeo VR microphone, a tool designed for virtual reality productions in collaboration with producers specialized in this area, which has been tested in a program in which creators belonging to the virtual reality audio/video industry worldwide have participated.
Ambeo VR uses four capsules in a tetrahedral arrangement and their signals are converted into digital audio work files thanks to integrated encoding software, for VST formats, AU y AAX, to which is added an independent version for Mac or Windows.
Visitors who come, until next time 7 September, At the Sennheiser stand at this event they have the opportunity to experience Ambeo's three-dimensional audio sensation live in the room created for this purpose.: Sennheiser Sound Experience, where you will listen to original recordings and remixes of music in format 9.1.
Another element in the 3D audio environment is the so-called 'Venue modeling audio plugin', which tries to virtually simulate the sound of mythical places and settings from the musical world. Demo version includes important room features, like Mighty in San Francisco, o The Rex Club, in Paris.
Thanks to this, music producers and DJs can experiment with their tracks as if they were really in these places., or mix them in the studio according to the sound characteristics of the selected location.
In the Sennheiser Sound Experience room it is also possible to experiment with the new HE1 electrostatic headphone system from the German manufacturer (whose products are sold in Spain Magnetron), combining an external amplifier with carefully selected materials, with a frequency response that extends beyond the range of human hearing and the lowest total harmonic distortion to date.
