Sony LMD-X550MT and LMD-X310MT: surgical monitors with 4K and 3D technologies
These computers, designed for use with 4K or 3D endoscopes and microscopes in operating rooms, Medical training and education facilities, offer higher resolution for identifying the surface structure of tissues, thanks to optimized brightness and color reproduction.
Sony has announced the launch of two medical monitors that combine 4K and 3D technologies to offer a high level of brightness, Improved resolution and increased depth of field for a variety of medical applications. These are the LMD-X550MT surgical models of 55 inch and LMD-X310MT 31 inches displaying 2D and 3D content in HD or 4K resolution.
These devices are designed for use with endoscopes and surgical microscopes 4K or 3D in the operating room, as well as in medical training and education facilities.
4K quadruples HD resolution, which translates into greater clarity and contrast, and more accurate color reproduction. The higher number of pixels in a 4K image means that objects are displayed with higher definition compared to high definition, which contributes to improved vision in surgical settings.
3D visualization improves surgical accuracy, reduces procedure duration and offers realistic depth perception. Combination of 4K and 3D expands visualization capabilities for surgical teams, where before 3D images were limited to HD resolution.
"With the introduction of these monitors, Sony has managed to combine the best of the 4K universe and 3D. Improved vision in surgical settings through higher resolution for identification of tissue surface structure, thanks to optimized brightness and color reproduction, as well as surgical precision, thanks to the greater depth perception offered by 3D visualization", explains John Herman, Product Marketing Manager at Sony Professional Solutions Europe.
With AIME technology (Advanced Image Multiple Enhancer, Advanced multi-image enhancer), operators can adjust the structure and colors of 4K and 3D images from endoscopes and surgical microscopes in real time, for more comfortable viewing.
Designed to enhance any operating room, These monitors incorporate a modern borderless glass front design, A robust aluminum housing and detachable cable cover on the back to hide connectors and operate cables effectively. In addition, can be easily cleaned with commonly used cleaning solutions for infection control.
Monitors come equipped with disposable and compatible 3D eye protectors, intended for use by surgeons and nurses viewing the images. These meet the requirements of Annex II to Directive 89/686/EEC on personal protective equipment and can be used to protect users from splashing blood and other liquids., in addition to allowing 3D visualization on surgical monitors during laparoscopic procedures.
