The whole world already knows that the tycoon Donald Trump is the new president of the United States, although the dispute with Democrat Hillary Clinton to overcome the 270 Votes to reach the White House were lived during election night in a very special way in New York, where the Empire State Building was the lighthouse that was not only illuminated with the colors Democratic blue and Republican red.

This New York symbol shone electorally for the first time with these colors during the elections in which the Democrat Barack Obama was re-elected as president of the United States against Mitt Rommey (more data in Digital AV Magazine), also in a project developed by CNN, Instagram and CA Technologies and the owners of the skyscraper – Empire State Realty Trust –, but this time the television network has gone a step further and has used its South façade to project the data state by state, imagery, Maps, personalized animations and mosaics of voters who participated through the main social networks.

Giant real-time projection

To achieve this ambitious and enormous projection on the South façade of the Empire, in order to cover nothing less than 21.336 square meters and 32 floors of the building, CNN has partnered with the specialist Obscura Digital, which has used forty Christie Roadster high-performance digital projectors of the J Series.

These systems, with 3chip DLP technology, Provide 20.000 central lumens each and feature Xenon lamps and Intelligent Lens System (ILS), which allows automatic calibration of the lens, among other features.

Obscura Digital technicians located the equipment on a nearby rooftop to project sixty pieces of original content and three dynamic elements.; such as a countdown clock (countdown clock) to announce the closure of each survey; a graph showing the polling station votes won by each candidate, as well as a mosaic of what the House of Representatives would look like and the balance of power in it..

The television network used this gigantic live news screen on a massive scale for the broadcast of the so-called 'US Election Night'. UU' and inform citizens, who have also been able to participate through social networks with the hashtag #Myvote during the electoral process.

Next to the projections was applied the set of Led luminaires of the building in red and blue, until finally it was dyed this last color and showing the image of the 45th president of the United States: Donald Trump, whose victory has not left anyone indifferent.
