Barcelona's Liceu offers an immersive audiovisual experience with 'La bohème'
Opera fans will now be able to enjoy, the result of the initiative of this artistic and cultural institution, of an immersive experience with a 360º video that allows you to see the artists before going on stage, warming up the voice and the atmosphere behind the scenes and choosing the perspective to visualize it.
The 360º panoramic video is part of the technological proposal that the Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona premieres (Gran Teatre del Liceu) for your fans, who will now be able to enjoy an immersive experience never before lived in this cultural and artistic institution located on Las Ramblas, according to the statement made by its managers.
The first production that the Liceu audience will be able to experience in an immersive way is 'La bohème', whose 360º video shooting took place last June, and which has now been made available to the public, who can 'accompany' the artists while warming up their voices in the dressing room, Step into the stage, see the atmosphere backstage when the curtain falls and even feel the applause of more than 2.000 people.
This initiative will soon be followed by the production of a second 360º video with the scenography of 'Coppélia', on this occasion closely following the dancers of the National Ballet of Sodre (Uruguay), in addition to knowing first-hand the vision of its artistic director, Julio Bocca.
"This technology is a further step to give viewers added value from each production and to consolidate the Liceu's audiovisual project, which is working to introduce this experience into other productions of the season, as well as other initiatives such as the live broadcast of 'Rigoletto' and the third edition of 'Liceu a la Fresca', that during the season 2015/16 came to 121 municipalities of Catalonia and Menorca with the broadcast of 'La bohème', explain its managers.
