A different multimedia value proposition as soon as your facilities are accessed, based on offering a visual experience in large format, with interactive content in ultra high resolution (UHD-4K), is one of the great attractions of the Thibodaux Wellness Center, in Louisiana, Valued very positively by its users as part of their therapy, and which is part of the Thibodaux Regional Medical Center complex.
Located in the spacious downtown lobby, A great videowall, Configured with three large format displays (60") with 4K resolution, designed and integrated by VisionQuest Design & Production, showing a spectacular video of Louisiana's nature and plantations, seventeen minutes long, with interactive content played by the ProVideoPlayer2 system (PVP2) of Renewed Vision.
One of its attractions is that users can activate different options, both visual and medical and therapeutic services of the center, through touch screens (of 60 Inch) of each of the videowall, so that it displays the installation guide and information, with still and moving images, both in one and in a unified way in all three.
As the president of VisionQuest explains, Tony Shannon, "While production companies are starting to work with 4K video, few are equipped and capable of handling the challenges associated with 12K ultra-high-definition video (UHD), as we do in this installation with PVP2".
This system, Mac-based, is capable of processing and playing video, regardless of resolution, synchronizing and delivering images across multiple non-standard displays, including the image layer that is required to offer interactivity. Each of the three videowalls (configured in 3×3, with a size of 3.5×3 metre, for a total area of 17 Visual meters) have stereo speakers, as well as a sound isolation dome that minimizes noise during interactive use.
The screens of the videowall have HDMI inputs, cable and satellite and Blu-ray, and are also used when live performances and other events are held at the center. "We can sync any number of screens with PVP2., with reliable playback every time, smooth and high quality, at minimal cost", says Shannon.
As far as interactive capabilities are concerned., Visitors can upload additional images that are displayed on the central screen of the videowall; as well as viewing location maps of the different zones and areas of the medical center; Patient Success Stories, Information and tips to improve health, Etc; whose images overlap with images of nature and can be viewed from any angle of reception.
