Barco develops its most advanced LCD videowall screen for critical environments
Designed for control room applications, the OverView HVD5521 features a panel of 55 inches with Full HD resolution and a brightness of 700 cd/m2. A device that incorporates the Sense X calibration system and a frame-to-frame distance of 1,8 Mm.
ship has incorporated a new model to its catalog of solutions for videowall applications. Designed to be used in control rooms, the LCD panel of 55 inch OverView HVD5521 offers high performance and brightness of 700 cd/m2.
With a frame-to-frame distance of 1,8 mm and a wide viewing angle, this solution is positioned as the most advanced LCD equipment of these characteristics of the company. Its display area allows you to display content in multiple exposures.
Because control rooms are highly critical environments, the uptime of all components must be assured. This means that not only should you avoid its failure., but also that maintenance time must be minimal. On the other hand, all the screens that make up an LCD videowall have to be perfectly balanced in terms of brightness and color, so periodic calibration is essential.
To respond to this problem, Barco has developed the automatic color and brightness calibration system Sense X, based on integrated color sensors. This technology automatically balances the videowall at all times, eliminating the need for costly and time-consuming manual calibration. This optimizes uptime and contributes to your low TCO.
On the other hand, an optional redundant external power supply can be included that eliminates downtime if a failure occurs. This can be placed at a distance of up to one hundred meters from the screen without loss of quality or image brightness, allowing maintenance to be performed without disturbance. In addition, any staff member (not only certified technicians) can replace a faulty power supply unit, so this system also reduces the cost of labor.
Your thermal management system controlled by the temperature sensor is, according to its manufacturer, best-in-class devices and uses super quiet fans to ensure optimal cooling at all times, so the duration of the backlight is maximized.
"The trend in the LCD video wall market is towards bezels as narrow as possible. And the OverView HVD accelerates this trend. This screen, almost seamless, your colors, high brightness and reliability make it the perfect addition to our LCD video wall portfolio", explains Pietro Capretta, Boat Product Manager.
